The Opportunity
As an Accounting Manager you have in-depth knowledge of GAAP principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strive for operational excellence. You show strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly, annual close, and financial reporting process. You are also detail oriented, and possess the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.
This position is an individual contributor role with high visibility to leadership, reporting to the Assistant Controller. This role will be hybrid, based out of San Francisco/Bay Area
What You’ll Do
- Perform and own assigned areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations related but not limited
to cash, revenue, stock-based compensation, commissions, consolidations, and various
accruals - Perform and assist with complex calculations and analyses (software capitalization,
investments valuation, complex accruals, etc.) - Prepare, analyze, review monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement
fluctuations - Active involvement with preparation of financial statements, footnotes and related tie-
outs, including coordination of related support - Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience and critical thinking to
problem-solve and document management’s accounting approach - Assist with ad-hoc system and process improvement projects in design, discovery, and
testing - Support quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Develop, support, and help maintain strong internal control policies and procedures as we
continue to operationalize our overall close process
About You
- BA/BS degree with a CPA or equivalent
- 6+ years of accounting experience in accordance with US GAAP
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Experience in SAAS industry, strongly preferred
- Experience with ASC 842 (Leases), 606 (Commissions/Revenue), 985/350 (Capitalized
Software), and 718 (Stock Based Compensation) - Prior accounting or assurance experience within consultancy or Big Four
- NetSuite experience a plus

What Else?
This role is based in San Francisco and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $123,000-$166,000, plus a competitive equity package Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries will vary outside of of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
