WHAT YOU’LL DO
Department’s primary duties include: Accurately recording/reporting premium receipts and policy/contract related disbursements and reconciling all cash receipts & disbursements to bank statements
- Ensure all support for transactions is processed and recorded accurately and timely
- Preparation of weekly/monthly cash flow reports reflecting recent activity and forecasts with relevant assumptions.
- Maintain external relationships with financial institutions, ensuring a high level of service is provided
- Supervision of all daily cash balances for remote offices.
- Perform full cycle month end close functions
- Complete, review and approve journal entries
- Review and approve cash transfers
- Assures alignment with department and or corporate goals.
- Leverages the impact of the Insurance Industry operations and issues on one's work.
- Monitor individual teammates and the department’s progress towards meeting goals.
- Coach teammates for success through constructive and timely coaching conversations.
- Plans, implements and manages projects.
- Manages workflow of unit.
- Motivates others.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel
- Accounting degree
- General ledger experience
- 5+ years supervisory/management experience
Preferred
- Knowledge of insurance accounting and premium financing.
