Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team.
Summary:
The Accounts Assistant obtains financial data for input, invoice processing and maintenance of accounting records. Accounts Assistant apply generally accepted accounting principles to read and interpret documents, communicate effectively with team members, and solve problems dealing with a variety of variables.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send accurate sales invoices using 360 Systems
- Reconcile accounts receivable and support AR collections
- Process and reconcile purchase invoices
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies of sales and purchase invoices in a timely manner
- Reconcile company credit cards
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Support cash management/banking functions including maintaining integrity of daily cash position by clients
- Support month-end close process
- Support internal meetings, representing Finance Operations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects as appropriate
Skills and Experience:
- Completed post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 3+ years experience in Accounts role
- Exceptional knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and follow-thru skills
- Fast learner, detail oriented, efficient working style and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and very tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
