Job description

LCC is a design and construction company based in Central London. The sectors of the business range from design to construction, property development and investments.

This is a part time positioning, with the hours dependent upon the individuals capabilities, skill set and efficiency rates. A minimum of 20 hours per week.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Qualified & experienced accountant
  • Proficient in Quickbooks platform is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills together with a good telephone manner and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Must have previous bookkeeping experience, plus a sound understanding of accountancy processes.
  • 1-2 years' experience in accountancy and Legal Bookkeeper role
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • IATI qualified or other type of qualification would beneficial

You will be asked to assist with the following:

  • Sales invoice processing and credit control
  • First point of contact for customer billing queries. Monthly credit control; emailing customers whose accounts are overdue and chasing payments.
  • Supplier invoice processing, setting up payments and answering queries
  • Track/approve daily office and project expenses and prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports
  • VAT entry and submissions
  • Ledger reconciliations
  • General payroll tasks
  • General transaction entries in Quickbooks
  • Other finance tasks as required
  • Sales and purchase ledger on sage allocating payments and reconciling accounts.
  • Reconciling Bank Accounts
  • Monthly CIS tax and statement preparation and construction industry procedures.
  • Preparation of Vat Returns due to HMRC.
  • Liaising with Directors and HMRC regarding matters that arise.
