Position: Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper
Duration: Permanent
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
* AP/AR planning and follow up
* Monthly bank reconciliation
* Maintain general ledgers and financial statement
* Post journal entries
* HST Return and filings
* Invoicing, billing and deposit cheques and process credit card, EFT/Wire payments
* Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
* Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
* Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
* Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
* Report analysis and findings to management team
Qualifications:
* Background in accounting or accounting related fields
* Previous experience as bookkeeper or accounting clerk with full cycle accounting experience
* Fluent in oral and written English.
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting to meet critical deadlines
* Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experienced working with Quickbooks or other accounting software and or ERP system.
* Experienced user in Microsoft Office programs including outlook, excel and ppt. Company Description Import and distribution of building materials

Salary: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper: 1 year (required)
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- AP/AR: 1 year (required)
- full cycle accounting: 1 year (required)
