About Spero Studio:

We are an award-winning integrated communications firm helping organizations find their pulse in a modern, culture-forward™ world.

We are dedicated to creating engaging campaigns that mobilize people from all walks of life, specifically those who have traditionally been left out of conversations. Our ethos is refreshingly absent of buzzwords and manifestos— focused instead on our culture-forward™ methodology and thoughtful design.

We work exclusively with clients that level the playing field for African-American, Hispanic and underserved populations. Our experience spans issue advocacy, voter engagement, health equity and financial services.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team regarding financial matters and accounting processes.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in a small to medium-sized organization.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
