Smart7 Accounting is an excellent Accountancy Practice based in Nottingham, providing first-rate services and offering a personal approach to a wide range of clients across many different industries. The company is looking to expand their team due to its ever-growing client base with the right candidate.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team who has UK accountancy practice experience.

We are searching for candidates who have had previous experience of working in an accountancy practice. This is a position in which you will learn, develop and progress your career as you will have a range of duties dealing with all aspects of clients affairs which will include:

• Statutory accounts preparation for limited companies and sole traders
• Corporation Tax
• Self-Assessment Tax Returns
• VAT
• Payroll for a small number of clients

Candidates must be AAT qualified or ACCA beginner

You will receive regular cpd training, and you’ll be given time to ensure that you are up to date with the latest developments in accounting, tax & technology.

You will have good attention to detail, good analytical skills and ability to multi-task together with a confident and positive attitude.

Software Knowledge:

• Xero accounting essential
• VT software not essential
• Tax Filer not essential
• BrightPay not essential
• Excel literate to basic formulas
• MS office product working knowledge

Job Type: Permanent

Working hours: 34 per week Mon-Thurs 9.30-5.00, Fri 9.30-3.30

Holidays: 28 days plus your birthday

• Diploma of Higher Education (required)

Experience:

• Accountancy Practice: 2 years (required)

• AAT Level 4 or ACCA P/t qualified (required)
