JOB DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and analysis within the Corporate accounting area of Regeneron. The Staff Accountant will be an active member of the monthly/quarterly close process, lead expense and balance sheet account analysis, and provide support for certain external financial statement disclosures. You will interact and partner with Accounting & Finance teams, senior leadership, and other business personnel to prepare schedules, present results, and accurately account for transactions. This position will be exposed to a variety of significant, unique and high-volume transactions, and accounting decisions. This position will also be responsible for reviewing and ensuring our control policies and procedures are compliant. With the ongoing global expansion of Regeneron, you will be a key individual in a growing and dynamic environment.
Job Duties:
Ensure proper accounting for, reconcile, and act as point of contact for results of various financial statement accounts, including presenting applicable fluctuations to senior management
Collaborate directly with Finance to ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals and reclasses
Ensure compliance with the Company’s Accounting Policies
Develop and implement standardized processes for various general accounting areas
Utilize various systems (e.g., Concur) to ensure proper accounting for transactions
Use innovation to implement new documentation requirements for various processes and locations as part of Company’s international expansion initiative
Partner with accounting teams outside the US to support and meet consolidated accounting goals
Adhere with documented financial reporting and other related controls, including implementing relevant updates in documents as necessary to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Support internal and external audit with requests, as needed
Provide assistance to other departments within the organization with specific requests or initiatives related to area of responsibility (e.g., Facilities Management, Employee Benefits, Treasury)
Be a part of high-energy teams on special projects, analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives

Have previous experience with Oracle GL and Hubble a plus.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting with 2 - 4 years of proven Accounting experience. Knowledge of US GAAP, and its application to tasks at hand. You must be a team player with strong communication skills. You must have a foundation of accounting knowledge through academics and experience with the ability to apply those principles to “real world” operational processes. You must also have strong analytical and organization skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this position. It is essential for you to have high proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft Excel, required (pivot tables, v-lookup, financial functions, etc.)
