Accounting Clerk
PURPLE was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. A collective of friends and industry veterans set out to launch a collection of men’s denim and luxury basics. Denim is the anchor of the modern man’s wardrobe; PURPLE is dedicated to making that anchor more interesting.
PURPLE has experienced tremendous revenue growth, firmly establishing itself in North America with plans for further global expansion. Based on that growth, we are currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you’ll play an integral role on our Finance team. You will be responsible for preparing, reconciling, analyzing, processing, and uploading finance transactions to support the accounts receivable and accounts payable team.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Generate digital files to upload between various finance platforms.
- Reconcile and maintain customers and vendor records.
- Generate invoices and account statements as required.
- Prepare, code and process invoices on a weekly basis.
- Support financial month-end close, and regular reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to process data accurately and create continuous improvements.
- Provide support annual audits and any other ad-hoc Finance matters or team projects.
Knowledge and Experience
- 1-2 years of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience in a similar job.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and MS Office software required, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong fundamental skills in Excel with the ability to navigate through large data sets.
- Strong working knowledge of "VLOOKUP", "SUMIF", and pivot tables.
- Experience working with ERP systems, NetSuite is an asset.
- Understanding of accounting principles.
