At the start of our journey, we need an Entertainment Accountant to help us complete the first year accounts and offer great financial support and advice.

Piranha Music Records is on the look out for someone who understands the entertainment industry. With knowledge in touring, royalities, merchandise and much more.
The job role consitsts of freelance work, completing financial infomation as and when it is needed for a start up company. You can work in your own time, in your own hours and pay can be discussed, with an increase as the business grows.
Further work will be made available once the business grows, and hires its first aritst.
You will be able to work remotely, with the occasional meet ups in either Sheffield, Wakefield or Leeds for paid lunch to discuss the financial planning and objectives.
Responsibilities for now and in the future:
- Conduct regular financial forecasting and budgeting to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including tax returns and financial statements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by government agencies.
- Provide support in payroll processing and ensure accurate payroll calculations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience in entertainment financial accounting or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment and music industry, particuliary with record labels and artists.
The main focus our the business is to treat employees and artists fairly, with a casual attitude. You won't be expected to meet up in smart attire (unless that is your preference!) and will be paid fairly for the work you do.
