One Property Recruitment have been instructed on a search for a remote Service Charge Accountant. We are working with a progressive and fast-growing property investment firm who operate across the country with 3 UK offices. This is a client facing role as you will be managing a mixed-use portfolio of new build accounts. The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years’ experience within service charge/client accounts and be able to hit the ground running across an exciting selection of clients. Your core duties will include:-
- Preparation of year-end accounts income/expenditure reports
- Production and review service charge accounts
- Reconciling accounts
- Raising service charge demands
- Liaising with stakeholders and responding to any accounts queries as required
- Setting up properties on the property management system
- Complying with annual audit requests
- Production of reports as requested and presenting to the board when required
- Ensuring RICS Commercial Service Charge Management Code is adhered to
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys highly client facing work; there will be a requirement to visit HQ once a week and the rest of the week you are free to work remotely and organise your diary how you see fit. - Up to 3 years’ experience within service charge accounts
- AAT/ACCA qualified ideally
- Strong communicator on all platforms, written and verbal
- Ability to build rapport with key clients
- Excellent understanding of financial practices and principles & RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code.
