Location: Nelson - Hybrid
Would you like to join one of the largest providers of communications and IT solutions across the UK as Head of Finance? This is a fixed term contract for maternity cover. You will be responsible for managing a team of management accountants, responsible for financial accounting, control and overheads reporting. The role will also look after the revenue assurance team.

About the role...
- Responsible for financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, group submissions and financial reporting in the board reports.
- Manage the overheads finance team, and financial control functions, including recruitment, development, and performance management team.
- Focus on cashflow reporting, reviewing the cashflow forecast to ensure variances are understood and explained in order to present to FD on a rolling weekly basis.
- Business partner with key stakeholders, providing financial support and analysis to aid decision-making and drive profitability.
- Supporting the Finance managers to meet audit deadlines, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and standards.
- Key input to budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Manage the revenue assurance team, driving improvements in revenue assurance, ensuring accurate billing, revenue recognition and cost control.
- Manage and support trainee accountants with the progression of their studies, providing mentoring and guidance.
- Working with the divisional Finance Director on ad-hoc projects.
- Driving the wider finance team to continually improve cost centre reporting.
What do we need from you?
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Minimum 5 years post qual, with leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Advance excel skills with the ability to build and enhance financial models.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
- Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects and deadlines.
- Adaptable in an ever-changing environment.
- Commercial acumen and a focus on driving profitability improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
