Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the overall effectiveness of the financial functions within the organization. The Accountant will oversee and analyze all cost expenditures related to the manufacturing processes in the facility. The Accountant will apply cost effectiveness and revenue optimization measures, and maintain accurate and reliable financial accounts that are available on a timely basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts in establishing, updating, monitoring, and analyzing multi-project budget and cost control reports (including but not limited to budgets, funding sources, subcontract commitments, change orders, contingencies, allowances, general conditions, forecasts, risk analysis, etc.)
- Generate over/under variance reports with supporting analysis.
- Actively participate in change management and forecasting processes.
- Oversee identification of risks and opportunities.
- Oversee adherence to corporate cost control policies and procedures.
- Lead and generate multi-project financial gross margin reports.
- Perform analytical reviews, validations and audits to support internal and external cost control requirements.
- Prepare and process invoices, subcontractor pay requests and associated backup documents.
- Initiate and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Proactively collaborate with colleagues and project team members.
- Support the CFO in responding to inquiries from management, auditors, and other authorities regarding cost accounting issues, data in reports, financial information and policies and procedures related to cost accounting.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong financial background with analytical and numerical proficiency.
- Great attention to detail.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with interacting with cross functional teams in manufacturing industry is preferred.
Education & Training/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
- 5 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in job cast accounting software
- Proven record in assisting operational leadership with understanding and improving processes to support bottom line results.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
