We are seeking Accounting Assistant to join our Libratel Accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Perform Full-cycle accounting including preparation of monthly journal entries, bank reconciliation, daily sales entries and other month-end/year closing work as assigned, while adhering to established accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial summaries and provide reports to management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Support the coordination and accuracy of all Balance Sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations, including identifying and resolving the discrepancies/variances and the preparation of month end working papers.
- Perform Accounts Payable, including the cost analysis, vendor account reconciliation, invoice coding, invoice entry and payment processing.
- Perform Accounts Receivable, including the revenue analysis, customer account reconciliation, invoice coding, invoice entry and payment posting.
- Follow up on queries from customers, vendors and internal departments.
- Resolve business transactions related discrepancies by communicating with vendors, customers or internal departments as required.
- Support on outstanding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups and keeping information confidential.
- All other accounting-related duties such as filing, preparing correspondence, bank deposits.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education - Accounting Diploma is required.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, rules and internal controls.
- 3+ years of accounting experience is a must.
- Experience with Business Vision preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Word, Power Point
- Excellent professional communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to details is required.
