JOB DESCRIPTION


You are responsible for the oversight of all US Legal Entity Cash movement and finance operations, while achieving strong internal controls and meeting all applicable compliance requirements for the firm. You will provide strategic direction and leadership to US payroll team, ensuring all operational and accounting processes and controls are effective for timely, accurate and efficient payroll reconciliations. Leveraging your strong analytical skills to provide problem solving toward successful financial resolution.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for establishing and managing Cash Accounting and finance workflows to include daily million-dollar transaction processing, coordinating general ledger accounting data to Human Resource (HR) US Controllers Team, managing a global Cash Team. Provides direction and leadership on all matters regarding the organization’s payroll activities, including strategic and tactical planning.

  • Manage, oversee, mentor, and develop a best-in-class Payroll Cash Accounting Team; being a leader who can build high performing teams, contributing to a positive and empathetic culture which values team members, providing support and mentorship along the way
  • Ensure all money movement and financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported timely and in accordance with accounting policies daily
  • Review, prepare, provide various SAP General Ledger Account and Demand Deposit Account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies on sophisticated/complex accounts.
  • Reconcile all Cash Account Balances to supporting Bank Statements and resolve all discrepancies
  • Provide a high level of customer focus (Legal Entity and Line of Business Controllers) by ensuring all accounting inquiries are researched and responded to on a timely basis and regular interaction with all business areas to address inquiries and issues as they arise.   • Evaluate and revise operating performance processes and procedures within the area to improve efficiency, provide excellent service, and support the department’s business resiliency model.
  • Provide administrative oversight of Cash Team. Communicate ideas and contribute to the tactical development of the department and corporate goals. Preparation of ad-hoc special requests for management

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 7+ years of Payroll Accounting and Cash processing experience for a large corporation paying 100K+ employees several times a month
  • Knowledge of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Payroll or Oracle Fusion Knowledge and SAP General Ledger
  • Excellent experience in Demand Deposit and General Ledger Accounting
  • Possess excellent analytical and technical skills, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Be familiar with SOX risk controls ensuring continued adherence
