About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly meticulous and diligent Accountant with an exceptional work ethic to join our team. This role will be critical in our day-to-day accounting operations and will span nearly all activities from coding and categorizing expenses/invoices, managing month-end close activities, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, assisting with tax preparations and annual audit processes, and continuing to evolve our accounting policies and procedures. Reporting to our Accounting Manager and partnering closely with our VP of Finance and CFO, you will play a key role in scaling our accounting and finance operations to prepare for an eventual IPO.
How you will make an impact:
Manage sections of our month-end close activities, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Manage bills within AP system, code and categorize expenses/invoices
Manage bank payments following the relevant approval matrix
Assist with payroll calculation and payments for certain entities
Assist in tax filing preparations and payments
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting package
Collaborate with internal departments to establish procurement processes and to streamline and improve vendor onboarding and ongoing vendor maintenance
Drive ongoing process improvements and new process implementations for financial operations
Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested information, supporting VP of Finance, interfacing with and external auditors
Coach, mentor and advise the junior contractors assigned to the Accounting Team as well as assign and evaluate work and assist in performance reviews

Ideal profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related
3+ years of relevant accounting experience at a tech startup and/or Big 4 Accounting firm
Solid understanding of accounting concepts, familiarity with accounting system(s) and general operational processes
Ability to manage large data sets in excel and perform complex analysis with a clean and structured presentational format
Knowledge of technical accounting topics including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350-40
Experience with Netsuite or similar
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation
