To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Group Financial Accountant to come and join our team at our Leicester, Head Office (LE67 6HS).
In this role, you will assist the Head of Group reporting in all aspects of the Finance function, including both the monthly reporting cycle and department improvement initiatives. You will work closely with two Group Financial Accountants, coaching and developing on a regular basis.
The role will include adhoc projects on a regular basis across all areas of Group Finance, with scope for work within other divisions. You will assist with the preparation of interim and yearly statutory accounts for a FTSE 250 listed entity, as well as statutory accounts for our subsidiary entities.
As our Senior Group Financial Accountant, we would ideally like you to have:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Experience of month end close and consolidation process for a large business with multiple trading divisions
- Understanding of key business drivers and how to articulate and challenge company reporting
- Experience in running change processes from inception to completion
- Understanding of financial systems and controls
- Solid balance sheet understanding
- Statutory accounting preparation
- Knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
