Human Resources/Accounting Assistant
Huntington Cleaners has served the Metro Detroit area since 1950. We own and operate our own plant, and all work is done on our premises. Huntington Cleaners is looking for a driven, ambitious, detailed-oriented, positive, Human Resources/Accounting Assistant that focuses on attention to detail and can work in a team environment. The position will maintain confidentiality and provide administrative support to the Human Resources and Accounting/Finance Departments.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with an understanding of Human Resources/Accounting principles and able to provide a full spectrum of Human Resources/Accounting functions for a fast-paced, complex, and rapid growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide daily support to the Plant Controller and Director of Human Resources.
· Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
· Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
· Responsible for bank deposits and posting to general ledger.
· Reconcile vendor statements through receipt verification.
· Post and maintain job advertisements, screen applicants, and schedule interviews.
· Complete and file all background checks.
· Maintain confidential employee records, file documents, and maintain electronic files.
· Assist with filing worker’s compensation claims.
· Assist with scheduling meeting, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
· Assist with the coordination of training sessions and seminars.
· Coordinate new hire orientations, ensuring all new hire paperwork is completed.
· Generate and post monthly employee birthdays, anniversaries, and recognition.
· Other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
· Experience in Human Resources and Accounting.
· HRIS and QuickBook Experience (Preferred).
· Experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams & PowerPoint.
· Located in the Metropolitan Detroit Area.
· Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull a maximum of 25 pounds,
· Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Authorized to work in the United States.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
