PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Staff Accountant will contribute to the achievement of company and department goals through the compilation and review of the financial statements. Compliance with all accounting policies and procedures is expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validate accuracy of sales using exception query investigations and resolution of issues.
- Reconcile daily cash and credit card deposits and report all late/missing deposits to Operations while following up on uncollected/unreconciled items in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate P&L’s each period through exception query investigation and resolution of Operations P&L questions.
- Accurately complete balance sheet reconciliations by the deadline set with all unusual items properly followed up on and completely examined.
- Provide high level of customer service to store managers, DL’s and DO’s.
- Properly and timely prepare closing entries for general ledger close each period.
- Review period inventory, food cost and utility expense for accuracy each period.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description exhibiting a team player attitude.
- Currently working a Hybrid schedule, 2 days in office/3 days remote after 3 month training period is completed.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Minimum: Bachelor’s degree, preferably Accounting or Finance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
