Job description
DeLallo's is seeking candidates for an entry-level Accounting Associate role to support our Accounts Payable and Cost Accounting departments. The Accounting Associate will perform responsibilities such as reviewing and entering cost information in the ERP system, processing invoices, and issuing payments.
Deliverables:
- Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
- Process vouchers in the ERP system using appropriate general ledger coding.
- Allocate freight cost to purchase orders and customer orders in the ERP system.
- Process payment requests.
- Audit and process credit card statements.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, account balance, etc.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or 1-3 years previous accounting experience (i.e., solid understanding of basic accounting principles).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and follow-through.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Demonstrate clear, easy to understand, and professional written and oral communication skills.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Flexibility to assist other departments throughout the Company as needed.
