Job description
The Allied Accounting Clerk assists in overseeing application of bi-monthly Allied statements, in the collection of Allied receivables, and will assist service centers with Allied related problems. This position will also perform all billing, accounts payable and collections for Allied Alaska. Starting rate is $15/hr depending on experience.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Reconcile bi-monthly Allied statements
- Audit all shipments paid on statements
- Work Allied collections lists
- Work Allied due from shippers collections
- Work Allied non-ship expenses
- Assist in balancing Allied clearing accounts
- Perform end of day posting/reporting for Allied receivables
- Answer questions about Allied credit card transactions, Allied rating, Allied billing and request credit card refunds as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of company software
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Knowledge of Allied requirements and processes
- Interpersonal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and basic math skills
- Ability to operate 10-key calculator
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
