With multiple touchpoints around their accounting, we are placed to provide quality business support and pro-active advice to our clients. Year-end compliances from a box of messy records we are not. We don’t service “compliance only” clients and focus on continual relationships to help our clients meet their financials goals.

Job Description

As a Head of Accounting Operations, you will get the chance to lay your mark on a growing business and support an enthusiastic team of digital accountants. Report directly to the CEO and participate in strategic decision making for firm. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing the internal “engine”, ensuring that client tasks at a firm-level are well-planned, prioritised, are meeting their deadlines, and are completed at the highest level of quality.
  • Operating in a client-facing role and oversee a portfolio of clients, assisting with year-end financial statement preparation, agile CFO services (budgets, projections, management reports, etc) and tax compliance.
  • Spearheading projects that improve the efficiency of our bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks firm-wide
  • Managing several people on the accounting team (recruitment, training, goal setting, task reviews & performance reviews)
  • Providing a hands-on approach by helping with bookkeeping, client onboarding, taxes, and payroll when required

What You Need to Succeed

  • You have obtained your professional qualification from ICAS, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Not less than 3 years’ experience since obtaining professional qualification from ICAS, ACCA, or equivalent, at least 2 years of which will have been spent in a managerial capacity, including everything from training to performance reviews.
  • You have experience working in an accounting function in industry & oversaw the full cycle.
  • You’re a clear communicator.
  • You believe in delivering awesome customer service and you have experience in a customer-facing role.
  • You have experience putting together financial statements, budgets, cash-flow projections, and various financial reports to assist management in making decisions.
  • You care about the work you do, you’re particular and strive for perfection.

Our Recruitment Process

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
