A successful business in a growing sector are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant.

Assistant Accountant duties
- Complete all period end responsibilities and deliver accurate and timely periodic management accounts.
- Provide analysis of variance to budget.
- Provide/review accurate periodic balance sheet reconciliations and to ensure that all reconciling items are fully investigated and resolved on a timely basis.
- Prepare all accruals and prepayments, and post journals.
- Involvement in the budgeting, business planning and forecasting processes.
- Management of cashflows and processing of payment runs.
- Support the production of annual Financial Statements and tax returns, liaison with auditors and production and submission of VAT returns.
Assistant Accountant person specification
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Good academic background and professional development.
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Accurate approach and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience of using an accounting package.
