General Summary and Purpose:
The Staff Accountant is a core member of the Finance Team. This role’s primary function is the processing of daily accounting transactions including accounts receivable billing, cash receipts, collecting activities on past due balances, and other AR and AP related functions. This position will also be responsible for period close activities and will work closely with the Senior Accountant with opportunities to further develop processes within our rapidly growing company. The ideal Staff Accountant will have experience with full cycle AR/AP accounting and the willingness to learn as a member of a public company accounting team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create customer invoices and manage billing processes.
- Process daily deposits and apply all payments to customer accounts (e.g. check, ACH, credit card)
- Contact customers for payment status on past due balances
- Respond to customer inquiries timely (e.g. payment discrepancies, account changes)
- Apply for and establish customer accounts
- Work with facilities teams to maintain accurate records and movement of fixed assets
- Process purchase requisitions
- Process full cycle accounts payable
- Understand and adhere to all internal control processes and responsibilities
- Support timely quarterly and year-end financial close processes
- Assist in process of year-end financial statement audit and quarter end financial statement reviews by
providing requested auditor support and responses to inquiries.

This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to manage a large volume of documentation and multiple tasks simultaneously, while
maintaining a high level of organization - Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a detailed, timely manner
- Sound interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to accurately enter data into an accounting system
- Basic accounting knowledge to research and resolve accounting issues
- MS Office products proficiency and an ability to quickly learn accounting software
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills
Job Specifications:
Required Experience
- 1 plus years of AR/AP experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Preferred Experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred
- Experience with accounting processes for multiple companies
- NetSuite experience
- Self-starter, detail oriented, and versatile individual
- Working in a cGMP regulated environment

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $53,869- $80,752 (yr). Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks. Individual pay within a level is determined by work location, job related skills, experience, education, and training.
