BBB is seeking a part-time accounting administrator assistant to complete various accounting-related tasks while the accounting administrator is on leave. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 WEEKS OVER THE SUMMER
We are looking for an exceptional team player who has experience with accounting who will support the finance manager with various accounting-related tasks for the BBB.
A bit about the position. . .
The financial administrator builds and maintains relationships with our internal staff, accredited businesses and vendors by processing payments for our not-for-profit organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Updating cash sheets
- Daily updates of the revenue tracking sheet
- Daily revenue journal entries
- Entering cheques in the database
- Taking payments over the phone
- Processing payments for new applications
- Recording visa transactions
- Mailing renewal invoices
Ideal Education & Experience
- Basic post-secondary accounting courses and/or working towards a designation
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping (accounts payable and accounts receivable)
- Knowledge of working with databases
- Accurate and efficient word-processing data entry skills
- Intermediate MS Excel or comparable Google Sheets skills
This role offers the successful candidate a part-time, temporary role to build their skills in accounting. 15 hours per week with one day in the office in downtown Vancouver to process cheques and other mailing-related tasks.
