This company is now poised for significant growth having recently become part of a worldwide organisation delivering bespoke technical products and solutions clients in a variety of different markets. Well established and respected in their field they manage projects ranging in size and complexity utilising the latest technologies and engineering expertise.
Part of their expansion process will require strengthening the finance team by recruiting an individual to support the Regional Controller and build collaborative relationships with operational and project staff out in the field. The key objective will be to develop financial procedures and deliver management information to supports decision making and meet group reporting requirements. The Group Operations Accountant will play an active role throughout the business and have the following responsibilities:
- Analysis of group operations (UK & EU)
- Review procedures for major business functions
- Collate info and present to SMT with recommended changes
- Improve accounting processes to support decision making
- Drive budget setting with functional stakeholders
- Deliver monthly reporting to Group
- Prepare subsidiary MI pack and consolidate
- Report and manage business unit cashflows
- Lead ad-hoc business review projects
- Support the year-end audit
The ideal candidate for this role would be confident acting as a catalyst to drive forward operational improvement initiatives that support the business strategy. The person will need to be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to influence and also translate financial analysis into clearly defined objectives. Strong IT skills, in particular Excel modelling would be useful along with ERP or similar business intelligence systems. My client is looking for someone CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified who can think commercially and has a strong reporting and analysis background. The successful candidate will benefit from development and progression working with a dynamic team. A hybrid working policy with some flexibility based around core working hours is available alongside upto 10% bonus.
