Job Description:
As an Accountant Assistant, you will work closely with our Financial Controller to prepare, develop, and analyze key financial information in order to support decision-making processes. You will collaborate with all departments across operations and build effective, lasting relationships.
Responsibilities of the Accountant Assistant will include:
- Producing both weekly and monthly reporting packs
- Providing analysis and insights into business performance, identifying areas of improvement and driving profitability
- Business partnering with various senior managers to review overheads and control costs
- Working with the management team to prepare budgets and forecasts
- Continuously developing and improving financial reporting processes
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, including forecasting, cash flow, and budgets
- Preparing final accounts and statements of accounts
- Liaising with multiple sites to prepare and run payroll
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting reports, bookkeeping, and finance analysis
- Supporting end-of-year company, sole trader, and partnership accounts
- Assisting with balance sheet and P&L reports
Profile:
It is essential that the candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong communication skills, able to push back and support stakeholders. The candidate should have a high degree of commercial acumen, strong Excel knowledge, and the ability to work within tight deadlines. The candidate should also be results-oriented with a desire to succeed.
Salary: £28,000 with 28 holidays including bank holidays and a subsidized stay at our group of hotels.
