As Sales Account Manager you will develop and manage a sales pipeline with a range of Public Sector customer accounts. You will execute sales strategies to secure deals that will exceed account acquisition and revenue goals. This will be achieved using initiative, your experience and skills and by the network of AWS functions and support teams not limited to Partners, Solution Architects, Technical Account Managers and Professional Services.

Specifically, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influence and decision makers within the executive teams of prospective and existing accounts. You will work alongside the established Enterprise Account Managers. Your focus will be selling AWS Professional Services, along with other defined sales campaigns such as migrations and working with AWS Partners to deliver compelling AWS solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of the Sales Professional Level 6 Apprenticeship Qualification.

Key job responsibilities
As a part of the UK Public Sector Team, you will have the exciting opportunity to help prospects and customers make the transformative move to AWS. To support your outbound selling efforts, we will use targeted campaigns to help you identify new customer sales opportunities. Once engaged with a customer or prospect, you will successfully understand customer business issues by using excellent listening and communication skills, demonstrate how these issues can be solved and the unique benefits of solving them using AWS services.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Using data driven prospecting to identify, create and qualify opportunities
  • Manage opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle
  • You will then work with sales and matrix teams to ensure the opportunity is defined and next steps are clearly established
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels, including C-suite engagement
  • Working across matrix teams to support the development of technology solutions that solve customer problems

  • Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment
