Our client is well-renowned in the industry for their exceptional service and commitment to excellence. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team.

Position: Accounts Assistant

Job Summary: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Accountant and the Group Accountant in various accounting duties. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, managing the Purchase and Sales Ledger, conducting Bank Reconciliation, performing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, assisting with Budgeting, managing Payroll, overseeing VAT processes, and inputting Monthly Composite data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Accountant and Group Accountant to prepare accurate Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Oversee the Purchase and Sales Ledger, ensuring that invoices and payments are processed promptly and accurately.
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Conduct Balance Sheet Reconciliations to verify the accuracy of accounts.
  • Assist with Budgeting activities, providing crucial financial insights.
  • Support with Payroll processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Support with VAT procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Input Monthly Composite data accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a financial environment or training to AAT Level 3.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
