Accounts assistant
Full time / permanent
Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 45 Min Lunch break
£20-23k Depends on experience
21 days holiday + bank holidays, Car park Annual Bonus
This is a small but busy environment so the ability to work under limited supervision is essential. You will need a knowledge and experience of cloud accounting software (preferably Xero)
Must have previous experience in an accounting role covering areas below
· Exceptional organisation with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work under minimal supervision
· An excellent telephone manner
· Proficient skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Approving S/L and P/L invoices, checking for discrepancies
- Credit control duties, cash chasing running statements.
- P/L payment, prepare, authorise, and create payments for suppliers via the banking system.
- Bank reconciliation
- Dealing with any S/L and P/L enquiries.
- Creating S/L and P/L accounts for new customers
- Controlling Cash customers
- S/L and P/L housekeeping
· Process and arrange renewals (gas/electric/workwear/waste/etc)
· Ordering office and kitchen supplies
- Answering the Telephone, taking orders, gate keeping
- Checking and processing emails
- Processing sales orders / quotes
- Purchase Ordering of goods
- Post – opening and distributing.
- To assist and do admin work for stock control.
- General admin duties
- Additional ad-hoc duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £20,000.00-£23,500.00 per year
