This role is Maternity Cover for 1 year.
Orbus Software is looking for a talented and pragmatic Accounts Payable (Accounts Assistant), to undertake the transactional responsibilities of the Finance Team as well as provide accountancy and administrative support in other areas to team members. There will be opportunities to become involved with the month end process as well as learn from other members of the team. The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Posting of supplier invoices for all Orbus entities daily in multi currencies as appropriate;
- Accurately account for VAT, GST & Sales Tax on supplier invoices upon posting;
- Ensuring all invoices are approved by respective approver and where required supported by authorised PO;
- Managing & setting up weekly supplier payment runs ready for review & approval;
- Managing Company Credit card - postings & reconciliations with full invoice support;
- Supplier statement reconciliations;
- Good housekeeping - ensuring all processed invoices are saved onto the server, ready for inspection during an audit or by HMRC.
- Managing PO system in Netsuite, ensuring approval compliance, matching to supplier invoices with regular review of unapproved PO items to manage and clear;
- Regular review of unapproved posted invoices in Netsuite to manage and clear;
- Month end bank reconciliations and posting AP bank payments onto Netsuite
- Manage SAP Concur Expenses and weekly payment to employees
- Ensuring all invoices are included in the cash flow schedule and that the forecast date of payment is in line with agreed payment terms and company policy
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role in accounts payable
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a proactive and collaborative manner, within a team;
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in the fast-moving technology industry;
- Has a high standard of work and ability to complete work within agreed timescales;
- Ability to establish effective working relationships within the department and rest of the company;
- Intermediate to high level of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.);
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills;
- Has an awareness of the importance of confidentiality, information security and data protection;
- Part Qualified in either AAT/ACCA/CIMA but not essential
- Netsuite experience preferable but not essential;
