Due to growth, we have a great new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. Within this role you will be responsible for completing bank and reconciliation activities for the Ireland platform.
This role is ideal for someone who excels and enjoys working in a challenging and fast paced environment.
The role will be based at our Manchester City Centre office combined with home working.
What will you be doing?
- Completing daily cash reconciliations between the bank and customer payment transactions recorded on the operational platform
- Interrogating transactional data to identify any actions required with regards to unreconciled transactions
- Working closely with the Ireland Operations team to resolve any unreconciled items in a timely manner
- Processing bank payments in line with internal policies
- Preparing daily client reporting of reconciliations and bank transactions, and supporting the delivery against other client SLAs
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators
- Dealing with complex queries from external clients, and internal stakeholders, and maintaining good relationships with these parties
- Maintaining the bank ledger and recording transactions accurately in D365
- Preparing bank reconciliations for the Ireland platform
- Ensuring that process documents are accurately maintained and kept up to date
- Providing support to the wider team in respect of ad-hoc reporting and analysis, when required
Is this you?
Required skills and experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in completing high transactional volume bank reconciliations and processing payments
- Confident Excel skills to include pivot tables and v lookups
- Educated to GCSE level including Math and English grade A-C or equivalent
- Ability to turn around tasks efficiently and accurately
- Confident to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Experience in working to tight deadlines
- Strong team player
Advantageous, though not essential
- Experience in Blackline transaction matching beneficial but not essential
- Experience in Microsoft D365 beneficial but not essential
