Job title: Account Manager/Senior Account Manager
Reports to: Head of Sales
Location: Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid)
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a 60-minute lunch break.
Salary: Competitive DOE + uncapped commission

Focus of the role:*
We are looking for an Account Manager to develop our business activity nationwide and effectively manage allocated accounts offering a consultative approach which will allow you to quickly convert opportunities into successful wins. You will manage a portfolio of accounts and are responsible for building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet clients' needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts. Ultimately, you will contribute to building profitable, long-term relationships with our clients to reach our business objectives.

Responsibilities:*

  • Retain and develop business volume and improve the profitability of accounts
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in accounts to strategically position BCN’s products & services
  • Identify and execute business strategies that contribute to the success of the key metrics of the position – retention, renewals, referenceability, utilisation/adoption, contractual compliance, and opportunities for expansion
  • Clearly articulate the strength and value proposition of the BCN product portfolio
  • Demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of insightful industry knowledge in relation to initiatives, trends, and triggers
  • Develop and leverage customer relationships to improve customer retention
  • Manage renewal process and negotiate multi-variable contracts
  • Understanding client needs and identifying new business opportunities within your portfolio.
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions.
  • Proactively manage monthly and quarterly forecasts and updates in Dynamics
  • Undertake Microsoft sales training and associated exams

Person, Skills & Experience:*

  • 2+ years of experience with business development, sales, or account management
  • Experience managing large account portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Highly organised and solution oriented.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritise.
  • Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proven success in new customer acquisition
  • Highly driven, focused and committed with a proven track record of consistent sales achievement
  • Positive “can do” attitude, sense of urgency and strong desire to be successful
  • Ability to operate in a high velocity, metrics driven sales organisation
  • Ability to build and sustain trust among colleagues and customers of various levels at any organization colleagues
  • Proven ability to work independently member of a team with flexibility to adapt and manage change effective in an ever-changing environment
