Amadeus is a multi award winning caterer, operating at some of the UK's greatest sporting and cultural events as well as at its home sites the NEC, ICC, Utilita Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena.

The events team is looking for an experienced and passionate account manager to identify and develop client relationships, seeking to maintain and create new business opportunities within the stand alone events and small meetings market for the Amadeus external events portfolio.

What you will be doing:

  • Effectively plan for future event sales activities based on agreed KPI’s and to meet individual event revenue sales and profit target set within budgetary guidelines
  • Develops accounts and builds relationships with clients to ensure repeat and increased business, whilst considering operational proficiencies of the events team
  • Continuous identification of prospective clients from within the regional stand alone banqueting market and destination venues and formulate a business plan for establishing contact and initial discussions
  • Work alongside the Head of Marketing to develop annual marketing programme to capitalise and generate business leads
  • Build creative business proposals tender submissions ensuring budgetary KPI’s are met
  • Influence client decisions through effective negotiation and excellent customer focus to gain new business.
  • Work closely with the Amadeus events team to ensure that the event proposition is effectively sold and maximised
  • Plan in regular client meetings to continue to grow the business relationships and develop long term viability partnerships
  • Work closely with the Event Director and Senior Account Manager, assist and support when necessary with projects and tender submissions

What you will need:

  • Own a car/ be able to drive to events
  • Proven experience within a client focused event and hospitality sales role with similar target levels
  • Previous operational or experience in the hospitality and or events sector essential
  • Proven experience within a client focused sales role with similar target levels
  • Ability to actively manage own diary and time to maximise event opportunities
  • Good overall knowledge of events, food and beverage industry
  • Previous operational experience in the hospitality and or events sector preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong network within the corporate events and hospitality sector
