Job description
Location: Chessington and/or Islington with some flexibility to work from home
Package: £38,000-£45,000 plus commission (~£5-8k) plus bonus (~£3-£5k), subject to experience.
Founded in 1989, Aztec has established an enviable reputation in live events, providing technical production and creative services to all types of indoor events. We are an international business with operations in both the UK, serving events in northern Europe, and in Spain serving events in southern Europe. We really “get” technology and use that knowledge not only to enhance the Client experience but to continually review and improve every aspect of our business. We believe in our people and give them the freedom to make informed decisions. Social and environmental responsibility is engrained into our mindset and underpins everything we do.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the Account Manager is to generate and drive revenues from exhibition organisers, primarily from existing accounts, but also from new clients. This includes promoting and selling some products and services that are completely unique to Aztec including Aztec’s award-winning digital signage designed exclusively for live events.
The solutions we offer are sometimes quite complex. In order to produce quotations, the role requires close collaboration with colleagues in technical and operational functions. It requires both creativity and technical knowledge to design the best solutions for clients but moreover, the ability to build strong relationships is the most important element of this role.
This role will ensure that our clients will receive the most appropriate solutions for their events which in turn strengthens relationships and leads to long term revenue growth. And for doing this the role comes with a good salary and an uncapped commission package.
Responsibilities
- You will sell a range of audio-visual solutions for live events to existing and new clients
- You will identify opportunities to improve revenue from existing accounts and leveraging other relationships to develop new accounts
- You will write account plans for clients to identify and maximise revenue opportunities
- You will produce quotations and proposals
- You will analyse the profitability of accounts and recommend actions for improvements
- You will attend industry functions to cement relationships and develop new ones
About you
Do you have proven experience of managing client accounts and selling audio visual solutions? Do you have a hunger for sales? Then this could be the role for you. In addition to the above, in order to be successful with your application, we would expect you to have the following:
- Proven experience in a technical delivery and/or technical sales role

- A good understanding of the exhibition or live events sector
- Demonstrable track record of achievement and commercial skills

- Experience and familiarity using a CRM solution
- Very good IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience of working effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within an organisation
- Excellent all-round end-user IT skills
If the above sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you!
