Job Purpose
As the Account Manager, you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for managing and taking ownership of our healthcare contracts, particularly those with facilities management companies. The growth of these contracts and the market they represent necessitates a leader who can develop and enhance our service offering in the FM and Healthcare sector. This role requires a deep understanding of both markets.
Account Manager Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume ownership of service delivery and business development in the Healthcare & FM markets.
- Manage, support, and develop our on-site Healthcare Account supervisors and their teams.
- Foster strong working relationships with client procurement and service delivery teams.
- Identify and implement strategies to expand our business in these markets, including existing clients and new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Technical Teams to ensure comprehension and implementation of HTM compliance guidance.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical Works team to ensure successful delivery of remedial works.
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting, quoting, invoicing, work in progress (WIP), and overdue debt for this client base.
People Development:
- Oversee Health and Safety management for your team.
- Conduct performance management of your teams.
- Ensure your team meets customer obligations.
- Engage and act as a primary contact point with the healthcare operational delivery teams.
- General:
- Ensure compliance with the quality management system.
- Promote efficient and effective use of equipment and consumables, taking environmental requirements into account.
- Collaborate with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to ensure adherence to agreed-upon procedures.
- Foster a supportive working environment for the site and operational team.
- Maintain the corporate image consistently.
Experience, Skills & Requirements for the Account Manager:
- Previous experience in the healthcare and facilities management sectors, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- HTM-04-01 experience.
- Experience participating in Water Safety Group meetings.
- Knowledge of the Water Hygiene/Water Treatment market.
- Experience with Legionella and Pseudomonas water sampling and providing appropriate advice and guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, balanced, and inspirational leadership.
- Capable of collaborating effectively within a senior management team.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Strong ICT skills.
- Understanding of standard financial processes.
- Sales and marketing experience preferable but not essential.
