We are looking for the perfect candidate to support our established and ambitious UK business, The Avocado Company. With grower partners in key locations around the world, we ensure a seamless 52 week supply of avocados to customers in retail, wholesale and foodservice both in the UK and further afield.
- Key point of contact for the key account buyer and supply chain team. Acts as lead for promoting, advancing, developing and managing the customer relationship in order to maintain sales, elevate growth, uphold the supplier reputation and deliver on service level agreements, budget and rebate rates.
- Creates and implements a tactical approach to maintain 100% order fulfilment by managing supply splits whilst maximising the opportunity to grow TAC share.
- Has an awareness of and utilises knowledge of competitor strategy and market focus to gain business advantage.
- Maintains systems to ensure accuracy of stock movements, financial forecasting and invoicing whilst maintaining a thorough understanding of the profitability of customer activity.
- Manage customer forecast information to create accurate demand plan for TAC colleagues in supply chain, procurement and sales.
- Assist the commercial manager in negotiating and agreeing customer prices and volumes to maintain and increase profit margins whilst guarding against losses, adhering to customer guidelines.
- Experience of working in the fresh produce industry.
- Experience in a retail customer relationship role.
- Experience in or relevant knowledge of planning & supply chain role.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation skills, the ability to plan strategically.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail.
- Time management, self-motivation and excellent organization skills.
- Capability to set-up and manage projects.
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets using MS Excel to an intermediate level or higher.
- Experience of using SAP.
- Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. (40hrs per week).
