We are currently seeking a BioPharma Account Manager for the UK and Scandinavia who will be responsible for managing the UK and Scandinavia sales territories and clients. Working within budget constraints, to achieve the highest possible return on sales costs spent, achieving regional sales targets, and contributing to overall corporate sales and strategic objectives.
Taking care of customers both internally and externally throughout Molecular Devices UK and the Danaher Corporation.
What we’ll get you doing:
- Working to achieve Annual Quota and Monthly Quota in designated territory.
- Providing prompt and accurate forecasts as requested.
- Providing all reports when requested by manager within set timescales/deadlines and developing and maintaining an accurate Territory Plan.
- The Freedom to, qualify, develop, support and close sales of the Molecular Devices system portfolio associated software, reagents, consumables, and services, as well as new platforms as identified).
- Develop the prospect database (SFCD) and existing customer list and monitor sales.
- Maintain a high level of technical and application competence of Molecular Devices products.
- Monitor competitor’s activities, products, and potential new or improved applications or product extensions.
The essential requirements of the role include:
- BS degree, preferably in life science technology with a (molecular/cellular) biology background or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience in consultative selling of larger reagent/service items or high-end capital equipment (100k€ - 500k€) in relevant field. Must be able to demonstrate ability to achieve targets consistently.
- Demonstrable success in direct sales of capital equipment to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and government research laboratory customers.
- Detailed knowledge and contacts in Pharma and Biotech.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, basic graphics software and database management software required.
- The ability to work with a high degree of independence, self-starters and ability to work together in a constructive way with peers, subordinates, and seniors in anticipating and resolving issues.
