Role in summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning, fast-paced marketing agency as Account Manager, leading the delivery of creative projects and campaigns on time, on brief and most importantly on budget.
You will establish a solid understanding of your client’s business, market and products whilst utilizing insights from our experts within planning/strategy deliver the client brief, always aiming for the value-add.
Building and cultivating strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is a key part of this role, therefore good communication skills are key, as is positivity, the ability to work at pace and being a self-starter.
Ideally, you will have experience in shopper marketing, FMCG packaging or campaign management within a strategic agency and bring exceptional financial skills and commercial acumen. You’ll also have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work on your initiative and a passion for global brands.
The role in detail
- Managing your own projects, supported by the Account Director, acting as a point of contact between client services, creative teams and the client. You’ll manage the delivery of strategic projects ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and on brief.
- Build and nurture strong, effective relationships with your clients, getting in front of them and under the skin of what they need, becoming the first person they call with an opportunity.
- Utilising Account Executive support effectively to plan key stages of projects; preparing timelines, getting creative resource in place, planning budgets and forecasting.
- You will bring strong commercial awareness and exceptional P&L management skills, in order to create estimates and budget proposals and oversee the financial deliverables including utilization, budgeting, invoices, POs, expenses, profit and growth targets.
- You will organise sessions with Creatives to take them through your thought out, actionable brief, ensuring the creative solution meets the client brief.
- Participating in client meetings, presentations and internal meetings, taking ownership of your actions and deliverables. You’re able to challenge your clients, think on your feet and demonstrate and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Liaising with clients and responding to requests for ad-hoc information and status updates.
- Preparing decks to share the creative route and concepts with the client, and co-ordinating information for pitches.
- Adopting exceptional administration and record keeping, ensuring everything is stored accurately on our systems.
- Attending weekly Client Services planning and forecasting meetings to ensure the correct resources are planned in each week.
- Carrying out product/retail audits and research to see establish what the competition is up to, with the aid of your Account Executive.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- 2 years’+ creative or strategic Marketing Agency experience working at a Senior Account Executive level looking for a step up, OR, currently an Account Manager looking for more exposure and responsibility
- Experience of working with large accounts with budgets in excess of £400k per annum
- An organised and proactive self-starter who thrives working at pace
- Exceptional project management skills
- Excellent communicator
- Good financial management and commercial acumen
