Overview of Account Manager
To operationally deliver services in line with the Pareto ZSL contract, this being to organise and implement an effective maintenance regime across the ZSL estate – including fabric, engineering and other infrastructure services.
- To effectively line manage direct reports to ensure that the contract is delivered in line with standards and professionalism in line with Pareto’s core values.
Main duties
Budget:
- To be responsible for the development and management of the budget for the ZSL contract.
- To ensure the budget and spending are under regular review and report on any budget concerns.
- To ensure value for money for the client when procuring goods and services.
Compliance:
- Set up maintenance and other service contracts necessary to achieve compliance and manage contract conditions including contract performance, record keeping, certification and other requirements. Operational management of contracts will be the responsibility of the engineering site management staff.
- Prepare technical reports with recommendations and guidance for corrective/preventive actions to be presented to the client where costs exceed those covered by the reactive budget.
- In liaison with engineering site management, carry out internal audits to ensure statutory compliance is in line with technical and health and safety legislative regulations and contractual obligations.
- Support the site teams in the correct and successful delivery of statutory and mandatory PPMs, any associated corrective maintenance works;
- Remain up to date with relevant legislation.
- Support and develop employee awareness of compliance.
- Ensure staff training is up to date and organise team training as required through the relevant bodies.
Operational:
- Maintain compliance with ZSL’s environmental procedures and contribute to engineering initiatives such as energy conservation and sustainability;
- To contribute as a stakeholder, to the design of new projects to ensure the clients needs are met in respect of whole life cycle costs, compliance and maintainability.
- To develop and promote efficiency improvements in the supply of the service.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of the Long Term Maintenance Programme (LTM) in conjunction with ZSL.
- Identifying risk areas in order that mitigation plans can be submitted to the client for their information and approval.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and polices to support ZSL in meeting its objectives.
- Oversee the management of projects as required.
- Developing and maintaining consistent, professional and effective communication with project managers, contractors, consultants, customers and customer representatives
- Identify potential threats to continuity of materials/service supply and advise on mitigation measures.
- Focus on innovation in service delivery and exceeding customers contractual requirements, including develop of maintenance procedures and ensure that they are complied with across the team.
- Manage all training, appraisals, disciplinary, sickness and grievance in line with Pareto policy with support from your management.
