Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc., Gelest Division is looking for an Account Manager will be responsible for to selling and providing guidance about products needed by a variety of customers in the technical and scientific fields in the specialty chemistry markets serviced by Gelest and with particular focus in specialty coatings, adhesives and, and industrial markets and applications. The Account Manager will serve as the liaison between the company and our customers. The core priority is addressing customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships. Come be a part of this dynamic team!!

What You Will Do...
  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Stay on top of accounts, making sure they’re receiving services that are within their budget and meeting their needs
  • Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Collaborates with internal team to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • 25%-50% Travel
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software, Deacom ERP experience preferred.
What You Will Have...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field required; MBA is preferred for advancement.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in a sales or external commercial/customer facing role and 3-5 years prior experience in technical roles
  • Relevant experience in the specialty chemical industry preferred.

The salary range for this position is $95,000- $140,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
