ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be our go to for all of the key retailers in the UK, including Morrisons, Waitrose, Coop, Ocado, Amazon and Holland & Barrett. You’ll go deep into the detail of the retail channel while developing relationships with the buyers and commercial teams, driving volume and importantly reaching our key consumers through product and brand awareness.

Our Retail sales makes up over a third of the total sales for our EMEA region, so this is a vital role. In this role you will be line managing 1 NAE who you will work together with to grow our existing customers, but also target new business in the retail and the untapped convenience channel.

Ultimately, you’ll be the heart of building up the Retail channel and working with all our key customers to accelerate the growth and brand love of Minor Figures through the supermarket shelves.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Here’s an overview of what we’d like you to be doing:


  • Full P&L ownership of all key UK retailer
  • Plan, develop, agree and implement annual JBPs with key retailers that support delivering the overall Minor Figures commercial and brand KPIs and objectives.
  • Monitor, progress and review the plans with the customer developing further growth and contingency plans where needed.
  • Ensuring delivery of the Minor Figures KPIs of sales, profit, availability and forecasting
  • Design the annual promotional plan for key customers in partnership with the wider business to ensure alignment with all national marketing campaigns
  • Maintaining customer relationships and building long term partnerships
  • Creating collaborative relationships with other internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply)
  • Line management of 1 X National Account Exec
  • Identify new opportunities in both current customers and in the wider market.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

As Senior National Account Manager, you’ll lead and guide a National Account Executive. Together, you’ll drive growth agenda for the retail channel, and inspire the wider business to feel proud every time they walk into a store and see Penny on one of our cartons.

More broadly, reporting into Chris, our Head of Retail Sales for EMEA, you’ll work closely with a motley crew of teammates across the UK business that are celebrated for their individuality in a work culture that encourages you to be optimistic, experimental and daring.

You are a natural collaborator and communicator, bringing people together despite time zones and geographical distance.
Key Skills needed include:
  • Significant experience of working with the retail customers in the UK
  • Proven ability in leading JBP’s, driving volume in retail customers and influencing key stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Finds excitement in building relationships and winning new business.
  • Experience of developing people and providing ongoing support to those in your team
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Results driven with strong attention to detail
  • Self – starter who wants to learn and progress in FMCG industry
  • Strong communicator and great at working cross functionally (finance, operations, supply chain, marketing)

YOUR COMMITMENT

Your main place of work will be out in the field and there will be travel to our office in London.

Hours of work will generally be 9.00am – 5:30pm but may vary with workload or by agreement. Flexibility is required due to travel requirements. We expect that you will attend tradeshows and networking events outside from time to time. Travel will be required to follow up leads and generate sales in accordance with the Minor Figures Travel Policy.
