Shift Pattern: Monday -Friday, 9am-5pm


Salary: £38k plus company benefits

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Account Manger to join our fantastic team in Coventry. You’ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its customers. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your people management experience to drive our business forward.

At Menzies Distribution, our extensive national network delivers parcels in the business-to-business markets including for some of the largest UK high street and online brands and specialise in retail, office, education, and light industrial markets.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team. This role will be predominantly home based with the need to travel to sites and clients.


THE ROLE:

  • Account Management role with administration and reporting.
  • Act as the primary communication conduit between the company and its customers on operational key performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Act as the primary internal operational link, forming relationships with the operation management business units.
  • Manage operational performance including primary trunking and final mile (radial), execution plans, sub-contractors, claims, stock holding, returns and customer service processes.
  • In conjunction with Finance ensure the account operates in line with budget expectations.
  • Monitor and control key contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained, and the Company's procedures and objectives are achieved
  • Developing, building, nurturing, and maintaining long-term relationships.

Account Manager Duties:

  • Oversee Service Level Agreement Compliance
  • Manage customers for the length of the relationship with the company.
  • Ensure the customer and account is maintained for as long as possible, supporting and driving sustainable and profitable growth for the company.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Management structure, ensuring performance measures and reporting requirements are in line with customers’ expectations.
  • Develops partnerships with key customers by identifying and delivery valued added activities & services which help drive business growth.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to the customers’ needs and business objectives
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with managers and employees.Support the operation network to deliver the best-in-class service possible.
  • Regular contact and meetings as required with directors, branch management, department heads and other employees of Menzies Distribution Ltd regarding any logistics queries/issues and presentation of new solutions across the business.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customers’ needs and business objectives.
  • Assist the Team to deliver a high standard of service.Work together with key stakeholders in the business, support the negotiation and renewal of customer accounts.
  • Report progress, issues, and risks to key stakeholders in a clear concise way.
  • Build effective relationships with distribution leadership/management teams to ensure they have a clear understanding of requirements and adhere to process.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with managers and employees
  • Develop process and procedure in conjunction with Managers to best provide support, development and improvement in the service provided.
  • Have a sense of pride in delivering a great service to our customers
  • Ensure customer expectations and requirements are surpassed

Account Manager Requirements:

  • Full UK/EU driving license.
  • Nationwide travel & overnight stays (as required).
  • Travel throughout UK and Ireland as required for business needs.
  • Attending internal and external meetings.
  • Ability to work with data in Excel form and familiar with MS Word and PowerPoint software packages.
