Role and Responsibilities: As an Accounts Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing a portfolio of clients ranging from basic to large and complex accounting cases. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Client Portfolio Management:
- Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, managing their financial affairs with diligence and precision.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of financial statements and business taxation for clients, adhering to all necessary deadlines.
- Team Coordination and Supervision:
- Provide clear briefings to Accounting Assistants/Seniors at the beginning of assignments, ensuring that job plans and budgets are well-understood.
- Act as a team leader during assignments, guiding and supporting staff members throughout the completion process.
- Client Interaction and Meetings:
- Collaborate with the Accounting Partner, attending client meetings as required, and contributing to discussions to provide valuable insights.
- Fees and Budget Management:
- Determine appropriate fees for client services, seeking approval from the Accounting Partner when necessary.
- Provide detailed explanations and action plans to prevent overruns in the future.
- Workflow and Staff Development:
- Efficiently manage the workflow of your portfolio, ensuring optimal allocation of tasks and responsibilities among team members.
- Support the professional growth and development of your team members, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.
- Business Development:
- Play an active role in expanding the firms Accounting portfolio by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

To excel in this role, we expect the ideal candidate to possess the following qualifications and attributes: ICAS/ACA/ACCA Qualified with prior experience in a professional Accounting environment. Proven ability to effectively manage and support colleagues under their line management, fostering their professional growth. A strong determination and motivation to deliver exceptional client service to both existing and potential clients. Positive attitude, approachable demeanor, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and client interactions. Excellent organizational skills, adept at planning workloads, setting priorities, and delegating tasks efficiently. Confident, with excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining lasting client relationships. Sound knowledge of applicable Accounting Standards.
