Account Manager - Academic Content
The University of South Wales (USW) is one of Britain’s most exciting and ambitious universities. Innovative, thriving, and sustainable, we work to build better futures for our students, our communities, and our partners economically, socially, and culturally.
Our recent achievements include the award for the fourth time of ‘Cyber University of the Year’, a £20M contract to deliver health programmes awarded in 2021-22, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion as a University of Sanctuary.
Learning Services works collaboratively to fully realise an open, inclusive, and high-quality student, graduate and staff learning support offer and experience. Comprising USW Careers & Employability Services, Library Services and Student Development & Study Skills, we are proud to be an inclusive, welcoming, professional, and achieving team. Library Services provides a wide range of high-quality library and information services to University of South Wales students, academics and researchers https://library.southwales.ac.uk/.
Working within the Library Services team focussed on discoverable and accessible digital and print academic content, the newly developed Account Manager: Academic Content, will play a key role for USW Library Services, taking a lead in ensuring seamless access to academic content for learning, teaching, and research purposes. You will facilitate the day-to-day management, high level administration, brokerage, and processes to ensure that library content is acquired, managed, evaluated, and accessed, efficiently and effectively for the University.
We are seeking an individual with a demonstrated ability to work proactively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, to include all levels of colleagues across the Library Services department, Faculty and Finance contacts, vendors, and our supply chain.
The University is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. Please note however, that the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus in South-East Wales for most of the week. For an informal conversation about this post please contact Wayne Morris, Systems and Content Manager via email: [email protected].
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University / RWCMD (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional & Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the university and colleges.
