Our client is a respected firm of Chartered Certified Accountants. We have partnered with them to help them hire a Senior Accounts Staff to join their team. Our client is an all-round accounting firm that deals with a range of clients from sole traders up to limited companies.
Job Title: Senior Accounts Staff
Salary: From £30,000 a year
Contract: Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (1 hour lunch break)
Location: Bridgwater, TA6 3YD – it is an onsite role
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities would include the following:
· Accounts preparation – Preparation of more complicated annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited company clients using accounting software.
· Personal Tax Returns – Preparation of personal tax returns using Sage software.
· Management accounts and bookkeeping – Maintaining clients’ accounting records from information and explanations provided and preparation of regular management accounts on various different types of software.
· VAT returns – Review of quarterly VAT returns from information supplied by clients.
· Corporation Tax Returns – Preparation of corporation tax returns using Sage software.
· Client-facing - You would have a large client-facing role in dealing with their accountancy and tax needs and help with regards to making tax digital.
· Staff assistance - Help and guidance to less experienced members of staff and review of their work.
· Other professional service roles – various jobs due to theaccountancy practice being an all-round firm providing a lot of different services to many clients in different sectors.
If the candidate excels then they could manage their own portfolio in the future and become an office manager for the firm.
Qualifications and Experience:
This candidate will be need to fully qualified ACCA or ICAEW and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in practice.
