As an Account Executive you are responsible for the acquisition of customers (250-2,000) and the development of sales in our second largest and fastest growing market! Working in close partnership with the UK&I sales and sales development teams you will boost Personio’s business proposition and create first milestones to help Personio become the leading cloud-based HR Management, Recruiting and Payroll software for SMEs in Europe.


Your tasks and responsibilities


  • Build our UK&I customer base through a B2B Direct-Sales-Model

  • Control the whole deal life cycle - from qualification, validation to closing

  • Ensure a smooth transition and handover of a new customer to our Customer Success Team after a closed deal.

  • Analysis of customer needs in the UK&I to systematically identify and understand customer requirements and constantly optimize across the market.

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and early traction together with other departments, like Marketing, for the UK&I regions.

  • Scale up and constantly improve our work to increase the quality and efficiency of our sales processes.

What you need to succeed

  • You have successfully proven yourself in a full cycle closing sales role (minimum of 3+ years of closing experience in SaaS sales)

  • You ́re excellent at delivering the critical early sales stages - prospecting, discovering and negotiating

  • You have formal sales enablement training and have used sales methodology such as meddic/medpic, challenger, sandler, bant
  • You’re an empathetic listener, able to understand in depth the requirements and challenges of potential customers

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset that makes you a competent partner who does not “sell” anything, but develops solutions together with the potential customer to create true added value.

  • You thrive in competitive environments with clear targets and goals.

  • You show a good understanding of the local culture and the business environment in the UK&I regions.

  • You have fluent communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English.
