We are looking for an Account Director to take the lead on one of the agencies most prestigious accounts. You’ll need experience working with big international and national brands, across B2B and B2C. And we’ll expect to see evidence of growing accounts like those, as well as leading hard working and enthusiastic teams along the way.
You’ll be commercially driven with a focus on the key details as much as the big picture, and you’ll always be looking for new opportunities with clients, as well as eager to take the lead on new business opportunities too.
You’ll back all that up with a solid understanding of branding, marketing, and what it takes to create knock out campaigns to build invaluable relationships with your clients. You’ll need to be able to write a killer brief, to inspire great creative and how it can help your clients unlock challenges.
The role
- Your focus will be on building key relationships within a clients’ business to achieve growth. You will be strategically and commercially minded and will be a trusted advisor for your clients.
- You will lead and develop their relationship with the agency and core members of their account team. You will seek to always add value to establish Ride Shotgun as their ‘go to’ agency.
- You will have a clear understanding of your clients’ business needs, objectives, and challenges to ensure you can:
- Offer a valuable strategic viewpoint.
- Provide genuine solutions to their problems and quickly mobilise an approach to get working on the answer.
- Develop proactive ideas beyond the briefs in hand.
- Spot future challenges and opportunities.
- You will be the voice of the client within our business to ensure we are accountable, on brief and looking to exceed expectations at each opportunity.
- You will guide the relationship to make each client feels personally valued by the agency, building strong, long-lasting relationships.
- You will report to the GAD, and you will manage a team of client services staff who will be responsible for the delivery of the work you secure.
- Working with the GAD, you will agree and monitor the level of resource and effort required for each client account, both for projects and development activities, to meet targets.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring the team is working efficiently and profitably and manage any associated devolved budgets as appropriate.
Requirements
- Agency experience is essential, preferably as Account Director
- Working with Global Brands and multiple client teams, B2B and B2C
- Capable of leading a hardworking, ambitious teams and delivering many projects across large client groups
- Confident in front of clients with ability to build strong relationships and achieve commercial targets
- A real problem solver, with the ability to find solutions to client challenges regardless of sector or channel
