Stewarts is a long-established contractor based in Carmunnock, Glasgow. We provide Groundworks Services to National House Builders throughout the Central Belt and Ayrshire.
The Role
Due to continued growth, we require an experienced payroll and accounts administrator to join our busy team. Duties and responsibilities to include: -
PAYROLL
· Payroll records updated – new starts / leavers / changes
· Checking timesheets from site to calculate no. of hours worked by each employee
· Liaising with site staff to resolve issues / queries
· Preparation and processing of weekly payroll for circa 100 employees to meet tight deadlines
· PAYE/National Insurance & Pension contribution deductions
· SSP / SMP / Wages Arrestment’s and other Statutory payments
· Handling all payroll and pension queries from site employees
· Processing PAYE mandatory deductions weekly
· Preparation and processing of weekly CIS Labour Only Sub Contractors
· Process weekly / monthly PAYE / CIS reporting to HMRC
· Other payroll related tasks as lead by Payroll Manager i.e., Recording Employee details in line with GDPR / Absence & Holiday Recording / Contracts of Employment etc.
ACCOUNTS
· Assist accounts team with input of high volumes of purchase invoices
· Raising purchase invoices queries with suppliers
· Reconciliation of invoice against POD’s
· Checking Supplier Statements to match ledger
· Process month end Purchase payments
· Other accounts / admin duties as required by Accounts Manager
Working Hours & Remuneration
A competitive salary will be offered (dependent on experience).
Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
Experience & Qualifications
You will have at least 3 years prior experience in a similar role, preferably (but not dependent) working for a Construction Company and hold a qualification in accounting. Must be proficient in Word / Excel / Outlook. Will be using industry leading software packages.
Due to remote location of our Head Office, the position would suit someone who doesn’t rely on public transport / has own transport or lives locally to the area.
