We are a supported needs’ Housing Association, with most of our residents needing short term intensive housing management and support. Occupying hostel rooms, shared houses, and self-contained flats in a variety of locations, we offer personal support, life skills, counselling, keywork, advice and guidance and an array of additional services to aid move on to independence and a positive long-term future.
An exciting and rare opportunity to join YMCA Bournemouth’s accommodation department to support clients who have lost their homes, jobs and in some cases families. A chance to be Christ’s hands and feet as we serve our wonderful residents as they rebuild their lives. The role involves lots of admin, lots of meeting other professionals. You will be advocating, supporting, offering opportunities for clients to progress out of homelessness and.
As part of the role there is a genuine requirement to have a Christian faith. The right candidate will be willing to serve practically as well as share faith and at times pray for others when required. We are looking for someone be a part of the Chaplaincy team’s mission to reach socially isolated group.
In exchange the role will challenge your faith and reward you with excellent training a welcoming and supportive team. At time the role requires are workers to be part of difficult decisions affecting people’s lives.
We are looking for team player, strong in support and mentoring skills, with some experience of working with those in addictions, mental ill health and those affected by trauma. Full training and induction will be given..
Salary (full-time) £23,816.00 per annum.
The available role is for 40 hours per week including weekdays/weekends/evenings/bank holidays.
